Derby County 3-1 Bolton: Nyambe and Robinson Inspire Comeback to End Winless Run

Derby County produced a stunning second-half turnaround to beat Bolton Wanderers 3-1 at Pride Park, ending a 10-game winless run and easing the pressure on manager John Eustace.
Bolton had dominated the opening 45 minutes and looked set to inflict further misery when Rúben Rodrigues calmly slotted home in the 42nd minute after good work from Gaizka Larrazabal. The hosts were booed off at half-time, trailing and looking short of ideas. What followed was a complete transformation.
Just 43 seconds into the second half, Ryan Nyambe scored the first goal of his senior career—his 309th appearance—tapping in at the back post after Mohammed Fuseini’s flick. Three minutes later Jack Robinson headed home from close range, assisted by Carlton Morris, to complete a remarkable four-minute turnaround and put Derby in front.
Bolton pushed for an equaliser but found Jacob Widell Zetterström in excellent form. The result was sealed deep into stoppage time when Rhian Brewster dispossessed Larrazabal and drove into the box to thump a left-footed finish into the top corner for his first goal of the season. It was Derby’s first home win of the campaign and only their second league victory all season.
Despite seeing less of the ball and creating fewer chances overall, the Rams showed the character and clinical edge that had been missing. For Eustace, the victory provides vital breathing space heading into the international break. For Bolton, a strong first-half display ultimately went unrewarded as their four-game unbeaten away run came to an end.
