Man United Suffer Worst Start in 40 Years

Manchester United‘s start to the 2026/27 Premier League season is their worst in four decades, according to ESPN UK.
In their sixth league match, United drew 1-1 with Tottenham at Old Trafford. Brian Mbeumo put the hosts ahead in the 73rd minute, but Dominic Solanke equalised for Spurs in stoppage time. The visitors had been down to ten men since the 78th minute, when Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off.
Michael Carrick’s side now have six points from six games and sit 12th. United last had a weaker return at this stage in 1986/87, when they managed only four points.
